Services
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital provides a stable, nurturing and therapeutic environment for adults needing crisis stabilization and/or 24-hour care to manage severe depression or anxiety or other mood disorders. Our treatment programs and daily structured activities are based on an individual’s needs and goals.
Adult Inpatient Treatment Includes:
- 24-hour skilled nursing observation and care
- Daily interventions and oversight by a psychiatrist
- Intensive, highly-coordinated treatment by a physician-led team of mental health professionals
- Inpatient hospitalization is always short-term and designed to quickly stabilize the most serious symptoms to allow a quick transition to less intensive levels of care.
The Intensive Treatment Suite serves adults ages 18 and over who suffer from a major psychiatric disorder or decreased capacity for self-control. The unit provides 24-hour care to help these individuals stabilize and begin to work toward recovery.
Our goal is to teach patients how to better manage emotional responses to frustrations, social interactions and the demands of everyday life. Through evidence-based treatment approaches, we help people rebuild relationships and construct a sustainable path to wellness.
Treatment components can include:
- Biopsychosocial, nursing and psychiatric assessments
- Daily multidisciplinary treatment team planning reviews
- Experiential and process-driven group therapies using evidence-based interventions
- Support from a certified peer specialist
- Wellness Recovery Action Plans®
- Nutritional assessment
- Spiritual care
The teen years can be a difficult and emotionally challenging period in a young person’s life. As adolescents are experiencing both physical and hormonal changes, they are often also experiencing both social and personal stress.
As a result, it is sometimes hard for parents and loved ones to tell the difference between the normal social and emotional issues that all teenagers experience from time to time and early signs and symptoms of mental illness.
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital provides inpatient psychiatric care designed to help treat abnormal, uncontrollable or dysfunctional problems that teens may be facing. Upon admission, patients are assigned a clinical team that includes a psychiatrist, case managers, nurses and therapists. Treatment focuses on identifying negative and destructive behaviors while promoting new tools and social skills needed for personal growth.
