Psychiatric Medical Care
The Psychiatric Medical Suite treats adults 18 years and older who present with major psychiatric disorders and concurrent medical conditions that are medically manageable but may require additional specializations.
Treatment is guided by clinical practices that center on helping individuals learn how to manage and regulate unique, emotional responses and medical conditions
TREATMENT APPROACH
Each individual will receive comprehensive biopsychosocial, nursing, and psychiatric assessments. Additionally, the following services may include:
- Trauma screening
- Pharmacologic (medication) education and treatment
- Spiritual Care with chaplaincy services
- Daily holistic mind-body, mindfulness, and relaxation groups
The goal is to help patients develop the self-regulating skills associated with emotional well-being.
A component to the treatment is to provide both talk and non-talking groups so that each person can work at their own therapeutic pace as they attend to their medically compromised status and how this may exacerbate their psychiatric stability.
